Taking Action

There is a substantial difference between saying you'll do something and making the commitment to do it. It seems so easy for many of us to say we are going to do something, and yet somehow it seems even easier not to follow through most times. Why is that? Are we lazy? Forgetful? Fearful? Too comfortable with the status quo perhaps? Can you think of a person in your life that continues to say they will do something... and they rarely follow through? How do you feel about those actions ~ or lack of? Do you respect their lack of commitment? Can you empathize and be understanding and compassionate over and over again? Do you trust them? Would you go into a partnership with them?

Perhaps you've just come to an inner understanding that that's who they are. Are you really ok with that or would you like to see them move forward and follow through?

Let's think of the person we know that seems to have everything. You know the one ~ healthy, happy, enough money, a great group of friends, well traveled and fun to be around. Is that a person that keeps their word? Is that the person that follows through when they make a commitment? Is that the friend that inspires you and sometimes challenges you to be the best you can be? Do you trust them? What makes them so different? Is that you? Is it a gene? An attitude? A habit?

I want to challenge you this week to really have a look at yourself and your habits. Are you too comfortable? Is your morning, afternoon and evening routine like clockwork? Are you always late or rushing out the door? Do you watch the same tv shows on the same days week after week? Are you predictable? Are you having fun? Are you inspired? Are you free from yourself? Perhaps you are too busy? Maybe you have a difficult time saying no and end up over whelmed with no time to yourself? Do you or someone you know believe that saying yes is absolutely necessary at all costs?  Is that what makes you likeable?
I think not :)

Big questions here and some of you might shrug and say, no that's not me and maybe it isn't... or maybe it is? If it is you and you are truly happy that's awesome! If you aren't, make the commitment to do something about it.
Take action! Don't wait until tomorrow or the weekend or after this or that. You deserve complete happiness! Take a moment and reflect, you are worth it! Change it up... do something out of your comfort zone, out of the ordinary. Say yes! Say no! Do something that will get you noticed, tap into your consciousness and be! Adventure, breaking fear barriers, getting out of your comfort zone...       do something right now!

No matter the reason you have for doing something or not, what I have recently discovered is, we can either have reasons or results.

My name is Meeka and I will start exercising daily! Please share what action you will take in the comments section.....

Rejection

Are people rejecting people? Does a perfect stranger judge and reject me based on my clothes? My weight? My smile?

Do I have to strap on a suit of imaginary armor to protect myself from them? From you?

Am I rejecting myself when I search through my closet in the morning desperately trying to decide what to wear? Or perhaps I'm rejecting my clothes? Or my taste in clothes? Or is it my body and how I think I look in those clothes? Am I trying to be something I'm not when I wear a fancy dress and high heels? Or perhaps I'm trying to disguise my femininity and try not to be seen when I wear jeans and a ball cap? Maybe I'm wearing a ball cap because my I'm having a lousy hair day and I don't want to be rejected?!?

Deep breath, sigh.  I'm dressed. Next step leaving the house. Well, I feel great, I look great. Today is a great hair day, my face has no pimples and my new $37 lip gloss pumps up my tired lips so I feel uber sexy :) Wait is that possible? Can a lip gloss make a person feel sexy, or is it the perception of how you think others will view you that actually makes you feel sexy?
Who cares! I feel sexy! Ok so chin up, shoulders back, smile and go! ( I think I do care though...)

I feel so great so why is that lady dissing me?  Why did that woman just ignore my genuine smile at her? Why is that woman in the car next to me at the light looking at me like I'm nuts? Am I nuts? I am I not supposed to sing in the car?

Hello  :) I say to the man pumping gas next to me in the Costco line.... he looks down at his feet awkwardly and acts as if he didn't hear me... is he rejecting me? Is he deaf? Am I nuts?

I get to the office and I'm relieved! People I know people who say hello! Hello I say with a big smile :)
"What are you so happy about?" Says the lady behind the desk. I'm speechless.... Am I nuts?

Moral of the story here... it's not me it's them! It's not you it's them! I am not nuts! And if I am, I'm happy! No one is rejecting us, they are rejecting themselves. They are so deeply unhappy or full of fear or insecure about themselves that they simply don't know how to be any other way. For now.

Be you. Be the person you want to be, always. Great hair or a ball cap. Dressed to the nines to go grocery shopping or jeans and a t-shirt to a dinner party! Who cares? You do! And you're the only one that counts :)

Do whatever it takes to be you. Live in authenticity the best you can. Be the best you can be and know that your best changes every minute, every hour and every day!
Giving your best to yourself in your world is really all you can do!

Please don't take responsibility for how others react to you. They are simply reacting to themselves... in your presence :)

Have a beautiful best of you day!
